Passage Dedication

One of my favorite art installations for Buring Man was installed this past week on the Embarcadero in San Francisco:  Passage.  It is a beautiful sculture of a mother and child, depicting the transfer of knowledge and experience.  There were flaming footprints illustrating their paths and the mother was passing dripping flames into the child's hand, pooling at their feet.  I stopped by almost every night to experience the installation.

The placement of installation between Pier 14 and the Ferry Building is wonderful.  San Diego decided to give San Francisco its weather for the day: we were in shorts and t-shirts on the water and still sweating!  Amazing!  Fantastic!  Please don't let the fog roll back in!!
