ShineSF Photobooth Timelapse

A time lapse video of all of the images from the ShineSF Photobooth. The timeline of the images is from the first week of December, 2005 until the last week of August, 2006. Soundtrack by DJ Clark Hamon.

Some of the individuals include Lawrence Lessig (Creative Commons), Caterina Fake (Flickr), Stewart Butterfield (Flickr), Dennis Crowley (Dodgeball), Niall Kennedy, Phillip Torrone(Make Magazine), and GETV (Irina Slutsky & Eddie Codel), Dennis Yang (Smart Ass), Komal Sethi (Cool Ass), Christabel (What an Ass), Trip Hosley (Bad, bad Ass), most of the herd (My Asses), some of our parents (Responsible Asses), Tyson's Ass, Ronnie's Package (Why must he be an Ass), and yours truly.

I am really, really happy with how this turned out and will be expanding this. Look for this to be playing on the walls at Shine next time you stop in...

Update: It appears that Google has taken down the video for being innapropriate. Trying to locate a new site that will take it and host it. YouTube's limit of 100MB removes that option. Perhaps Yahoo will rock solid?

I had a great night, how about you?

It is very unsettling to come home and find your front door kicked in. There is a flash of terror -- an instant movie flashback of the robber being a cracked out psychopath still inside the house. I instantly weighed the value of my goods vs someone inside that would attack me like a scared dog.

The police were not that fast in arriving. I went in with a Megaphone in hand. Years on the playa have taught me just how anoying and painful they can be. I was ready for CSI to have hair and blood samples to remove from the edges of the megaphone.

I have spent the past week completely cleaning and re-arranging my apartment. The cleaners were here for the first time yesterday. I knew where every item was and how it was arranged. The speakers were set just so, the business cards aligned to the edge, the broom and mop were still out in the kitchen, the fresh smell of cleaning supplies lingered in the air. Everything was still in its place.

Well, maybe not everything. My laptop, briefcase, iPod and some other items were snatched from my desk. I thankfully had my camera equipment with me. A smaller digital camera was sitting on the desk and remained, a lonely reminder that there was once many more electronics.

CSI -- the real one, without the soundtrack, slow motion, or investigators that climb on their knees and conjecture about motives or reinactments -- came today to collect finger prints. There are some. Hopefully not mine. There was another burgalry yesterday just a couple of blocks away. Perhaps we will be lucky.

Well, I jumped on board the celebrity look alike train and was really surprised to learn that I am a good looking woman. My mother and father will probably be shocked as well. I had no idea...

Deep End 2006

I haven't posted in a while...the video above will perhaps give you a glimpse into my week at Burning Man. Let's just say that the Deep End was a bit bigger than years past. However, my entire experience was not like this...in fact I was sick for a bit of it and slept over 25 hours -- almost straight through!

More to come...
